This article analyzes temperature changes across Russia in the context of global warming. According to experts at the World Economic Forum, the threat of a global catastrophe will remain high over the next decade, with some specialists even considering such a scenario inevitable. Nevertheless, scientists believe it is premature to abandon efforts to combat the climate crisis, especially since effective and relatively affordable technologies already exist that could slow down global warming. From a common-sense perspective, the best strategy for humanity is to rely on renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power plants. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) estimates that by 2030, this approach could prevent eight billion tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere each year. Furthermore, it would prove more cost-effective than maintaining existing, environmentally harmful energy systems. Experts also recommend halting deforestation and focusing on reforestation, which would lead to an additional reduction in annual CO2 emissions by seven billion tons.
